Luke Richard White, 6th Baron Annaly (born 29 June 1954) is a former British Army officer and Conservative politician who sat in the House of Lords. ==Background== His father is Luke Robert White, 5th Baron Annaly and his mother Lady Marye Isabel Pepys. They divorced in 1956 - when Luke was two years old. She died in 1958 when Luke was just under four years of age. He was educated at Eton College and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned to the rank of Lieutenant in 1974 in the service of the Royal Hussars. He also attended the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester where he gained a Diploma in Rural Estate Management. Annaly is married to Caroline Nina Garnett (born 6 July 1960), daughter of Colonel Robert Hugh Garnett and Elizabeth Ann Arthur, in 1983. They have four children, one of whom is a son, Luke White (20 September 1990). He succeeded as 6th Baron Annaly on 30 September 1990.
